Industrial UV Water Disinfection: 110 m³/h Turnkey Implementation

Project Overview

An industrial water treatment operator required reliable UV sterilizers for continuous disinfection inside the production cycle. Two separate streams had to be covered: up to 85 m³/h on the main line and up to 25 m³/h on a secondary line. The customer prioritized a reagent-free solution, uninterrupted operation, short lead times, and drop-in compatibility with existing piping.

Challenges

  • No chemicals — strictly physical UV disinfection only.
  • Online operation — no pauses in production.
  • High throughput with stable UV dose delivery.
  • Tight deadlines and readiness for pick-up.
  • Exact configuration without post-delivery modifications.

Engineered Solution

Following technical review, the team proposed a package of inline ultraviolet lamps systems:

UVL Aqua 800

  • Capacity: up to 85 m³/h each
  • Housing: stainless steel AISI 304
  • DN100 flanges
  • UV source: UVL 32800 germicidal lamp
  • Electronic ballast: L-220-1x(500–800)-2212-170
  • Approx. 20 kg, 2100 × 300 × 400 mm

UVL Aqua 320

  • Capacity: up to 25 m³/h
  • Housing: AISI 304
  • DN80 flanges
  • UV source: UVL 19320
  • Electronic ballast: L-220-1x320-2212-150
  • Compact format for constrained spaces

All reactors use a U-shaped layout for easier tie-in, inspection, and service. Each assembly includes a quartz sleeve protecting the UV lamp and a matched electronic ballast for stable output and long lamp life.

Implementation & Handover

  • Rapid technical consultations and commercial offer approval.
  • Fast build, packaging, and staging for customer pickup per schedule.
  • Full documentation set: technical passports, O&M manuals, wiring notes.
  • A quartz sleeve installation question was resolved the same day with step-by-step guidance; a replacement option was offered as a contingency.

Results for the Client

  • Chemical-free compliance with water quality requirements.
  • 12-month warranty on germicidal UV lamps.
  • Robustness to frequent starts (up to 2,000 on/off cycles).
  • Complete kit supply — from lamps and quartz sleeves to electronic ballasts and connectors.
  • On-time delivery and end-to-end technical support.
