Electronic ballasts
Our electronic ballasts are designed to ensure the stable and efficient operation of ultraviolet lamps when connected to the power grid. We offer a wide range of ballasts suitable for UV lamps of any wattage. Upon request, the units can be equipped with a protective hermetic enclosure for moisture resistance or housed in a separate ventilated cabinet for optimal performance and durability.

Get a consultationIn our company, you can purchase electronic ballasts for UV sterilizers. They are essential for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of UV lamps in disinfection systems. The UVL catalog offers a wide selection of starters for UV equipment that provide reliable stabilization of lamp operation. If needed, the electronic power supply can be complemented with a sealed enclosure for moisture protection or a separate ventilated cabinet to prevent the influence of external factors.
Design of electronic ballasts
The traditional design of an electronic ballast, based on induction, includes:
- A choke that stabilizes fluctuations in brightness;
- A starter that initiates the operation process;
- A capacitor that regulates and stabilizes the voltage.
Modern electronic ballasts for germicidal lamps replace outdated inductive converters, which were associated with noise, flickering, and equipment overheating. The electronic starter is mounted directly to the UV light source, ensuring stable operation.
The improved design of our devices includes electromagnetic interference filters that eliminate power grid disturbances, rectifiers that convert alternating current to direct current, an inverter that optimizes mains voltage, and a smoothing filter that reduces pulsation in radiation.
Advantages of using power supply
The advantages of using starters include an increased lifespan of the UV lamp due to the preheating of filaments. The emitter starts without false ignition, protecting the ballast from failure. The sterilizer is not subject to overheating, and in case of network malfunctions, the starter simply shuts down the equipment. Installing an electronic ballast helps save electricity while increasing the light output by 5–7%.
Additionally, you can order a UV operating hour counter from us. It helps track when the emitter needs to be replaced since, over time, the lamp continues to glow but loses its bactericidal effectiveness.
We provide reliable delivery globally using a reputable transportation company. There is an option for door-to-door delivery or delivery to a pickup point. Warranty for the integrity during transportation is in effect.
- The warranty service life of UV lamps depends on the lamp type and is specified in the product passport. The number of switching on/off cycles affects the service life of the lamp. The recommended number is indicated in the passport. After the service life has elapsed, the lamp needs to be replaced (the light emitted from the product does not guarantee the preservation of the bactericidal effect). In case of premature failure, we guarantee lamp replacement and delivery to your address at our expense. Only a photo of the lamp will be required for confirmation, no additional paperwork is necessary.
