Get a consultationLow-pressure ultraviolet lamps
Low-pressure UV lamps are shorter in length and emit a broader wavelength, allowing them to eliminate a greater number of microorganisms. Compared to low-pressure lamps, medium-pressure lamps have a shorter lifespan and higher energy consumption. For this reason, low-pressure, ozone-free germicidal UV lamps are more commonly used in water and air disinfection systems. Their lifespan ranges from 8,000 to 12,000 hours. If you are unsure which lamps are suitable for your device, our specialists are available to assist you on our website.
At UVL, you can purchase UV lamps suitable for installation in various sterilizers and irradiators. We supply safe, high-efficiency equipment with long service life. If you need assistance selecting a disinfection lamp based on power, dimensions, operation type, or socket type, our team will provide expert consultation and arrange delivery.
Types of UV lamps in our product range
Ultraviolet sources are widely used for their rapid and effective elimination of pathogenic microorganisms, including fungi, viruses, bacteria, and other harmful microbes. Depending on room size or water volume, a UV lamp requires relatively little time to neutralize up to 99% of microorganisms in air, water, or on surfaces.
UV lamps are classified into:
- Amalgam UV lamps
- Mercury UV lamps
The first type, used in sterilizers, is manufactured from a mercury alloy with additional metals. This results in a compact UV lamp with high efficiency. Their light intensity is three times higher than that of mercury counterparts. As a result, amalgam lamps are commonly used in most water and air sterilization systems.
The second type, mercury UV lamps, has lower power output despite similar dimensions. To achieve the same efficiency as amalgam lamps, a larger number of mercury lamps must be installed.
Another category of UV equipment includes ozone-generating lamps. Before using these lamps, the room must be vacated, and after disinfection, thorough ventilation is required.
For enhanced safety, closed-type, ozone-free bactericidal lamps are more commonly used. These lamps do not require evacuating the area or ventilation after use, making them ideal for medical, educational, and laboratory institutions. Additionally, UV lamps are widely applied in industrial settings, either for room disinfection or on packaging lines.
We provide reliable delivery globally using a reputable transportation company. There is an option for door-to-door delivery or delivery to a pickup point. Warranty for the integrity during transportation is in effect.
- The warranty service life of UV lamps depends on the lamp type and is specified in the product passport. The number of switching on/off cycles affects the service life of the lamp. The recommended number is indicated in the passport. After the service life has elapsed, the lamp needs to be replaced (the light emitted from the product does not guarantee the preservation of the bactericidal effect). In case of premature failure, we guarantee lamp replacement and delivery to your address at our expense. Only a photo of the lamp will be required for confirmation, no additional paperwork is necessary.
